The premier sports medicine provider in Sri Lanka, George Steuart Health, came on board as the official healthcare partner of the 139th Battle of the Blues, the three-day cricket encounter between St Thomas College, Mount Lavinia and Royal College, Colombo.
The battle for the prestigious D. S. Senanayake Memorial Shield will be held from 8-10 March at the SSC grounds in Colombo.
The Royal-Thomian match is the second longest uninterrupted cricket encounter in the world. In addition to a traditional cricket encounter, the match is a sold out event, being one of the biggest social events in Sri Lanka every year. The match will be attended by present and past pupils of these prestigious schools.
Commenting on the partnership, GS Health Executive Director Eran Ranasinghe said: “Being the oldest mercantile establishment in Sri Lanka, we are delighted to partner with the oldest cricket encounter between these two elite schools. The synergy exposes a fresh platform to launch the cutting edge sports technology we represent and we are excited to leverage on the same.”
George Steuart Health ventured into sports medicine operations in 2012 and has progressed to become the premier supplier of sports medicine solutions to Sri Lankan athletes at all skill levels. Working closely with athletes to understand the demand placed on their bodies, they provide an array of sports medicine and physiotherapy products.
Committed to athletic excellence, George Steuart Health provides solutions for injury prevention, physiotherapy and rehabilitation therapy.
